We collect the following types of data: • Account data: Name, email address, phone number, country, language preference. • Beneficiary data: Name, age, gender, medical conditions, medications, allergies, emergency contacts — provided by sponsors on behalf of their family members. • Health data: Vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, glucose, SpO2), nurse check-in records, doctor SOAP notes, lab results, prescriptions. • Payment data: Processed securely by Paddle — we do not store card details. • Professional data: For nurses, doctors, lab technicians and pharmacists — license numbers, qualifications, location, Mobile Money details. • Usage data: Log files, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited.
We use your data to: • Provide and operate the RemitCare platform. • Coordinate healthcare services for beneficiaries. • Send notifications via WhatsApp and email. • Process payments and manage subscriptions. • Comply with legal obligations. • Improve the platform and user experience.
Health data is classified as special category data under GDPR. We process health data with explicit consent and only to provide the healthcare coordination services you have subscribed to. • Beneficiary health data is visible to: the sponsor, assigned nurse, assigned doctor, and RemitCare admin. • Full clinical notes (SOAP notes) are only accessible to the medical team — not to sponsors. • Sensitive conditions (HIV, mental health, etc.) are never shared without explicit consent.
We share data with: • Healthcare professionals on the platform — only the data necessary to provide care. • Paddle — for payment processing. • Twilio — for WhatsApp notifications (phone numbers only). • Supabase — our secure database provider (EU servers). We never sell your data to third parties.
• Account data: Retained while your account is active + 2 years after closure. • Health records: Retained for 10 years in compliance with healthcare regulations. • Payment records: Retained for 7 years for tax compliance. • Audit logs: Retained for 5 years.

RemitCare uses essential cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
